Many of you may already know David Mazzoni as he has dedicated his life to the rehabilitation of animals as a Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist.

David started his life as a classical musician, graduating first from the New England Conservatory of Music and then with his Masters Degree in Education from Long Island University, C.W. Post in 1990, equipped to start his career as a high school music teacher. After teaching for 10 years, David found his true passion in veterinary rehabilitation after mentoring with a surgeon and faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine at a time when veterinary rehabilitation was just starting to gain recognition as a necessary discipline in veterinary medicine.

Building on these opportunities, David has been an integral part in developing and maintaining several successful rehabilitation facilities throughout the tri-state area, most recently with a large referral practice in northern Delaware. Recently Fear Free certified, he is also certified in the Human Animal Bond, an approach that fully recognizes the bond we have with our companions.

David brings with him over 20 years of experience in veterinary rehabilitation and a kind and compassionate approach to care. A rehab expert, David works with pets to regain or maintain strength using an underwater treadmill, Class IV cold therapy laser, thermal imaging, and so much more! David works closely with Dr. Stacey daily to ensure recovery and goals are being met safely and effectively.
David lives in Bear, Delaware with his four-legged companion, a long coated Chihuahua named Bob.
